What type of coffee do you choose – which brand, what flavour? Do you always order the same type?

Is your coffee stash all the same flavour and same brand? That is typical for your sensory avoiders, people with low sensory thresholds whose nervous systems have a tendency to get overloaded. Consistency and limited variety create predictability which suits their sensory needs best.

Sensory seekers, people with high sensory thresholds, typically have a coffee stash of various brands and boxes of multiple flavours. There are exceptions to every rule but this is a useful way to understand how our coffee choices are linked to our unique sensory wiring.

Check out this excellent article about drink choices. Let us know what you think, we would love to hear from you!
